Mint plate block of four Christmas postage stamps.
This 4-cent Christmas stamp was first placed on sale at the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, post office on November 1, 1962, in conjunction with the annual convention of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States. It remained on sale at post offices through December 31, 1962.
The stamp, designed by Jim Crawford, a Post Office Department artist, depicts the traditional holiday symbols, burning tapers and an evergreen wreath adorned with a red bow.
